Hello! Welcome to this little slice of my world.
I am a 51 year old RN who has been working in hospice in pretty much all of the roles for almost two decades. I love hospice care and the difference that we make in the lives of our patients and families. Additionally, I am a cis-hetero woman who has been married to my badass writer husband for 19 years. It’ll be 20 years this Fall!
We currently reside in Austin, TX and are moving to NYC this summer. I’m moving the end of June and Rusty will join me at the end of August. It may seem crazy for us to move our whole lives to NYC at our ages, but… Nah, no buts, it is totally bananas. We are so excited and ready to GTFO Texas.
I was born in Texas and have spent the majority of my life living here. The whole state is just scary as hell to me and getting worse every day. Even Austin, which used to be such a refuge for the non-idiots. I’d much rather be dealing with the mundane and potentially damaging problems of a major urban lifestyle.
